What is Firemonger?

Firemonger is a program designed specifically for the purpose of spreading Firefox and Thunderbird. In other words, it has everything anyone would need to get started with these two free programs.

Are all extensions and themes installed automatically?

No. We have not altered the Thunderbird and Firefox programs in anyway, we have just provided them on a CD that contains many extras to help you get started. It is up to you how many extras you install - you are in control.

Does Firemonger contain spyware or adware?

Absolutly not. Firemonger never has and never will contain any form of malware. It is 100% free and has been certified as such by Softpedia.

What are open source programs?

Open source programs are applications where everyone is permitted to look at the program's source code (how the program is written).

Why is open source a good idea?

Open source has several advantages. As developers can look over the source code of the program, bugs are generally spotted and fixed quickly. Open source programs are also free of cost - you don't have to pay anything to use them! Moreover, open source advances technology. It gives developers a chance to experiment with new ways of tackling problems and prevents commercial developers from becoming complacent.
